The Gaia team at the Observatory of the Côte d’Azur has officially been created in 2005 to formalize participation of the Lagrange Laboratory into the preparation of the ESA mission, Gaia.
Not only, scientific work is an objective of the team, but high responsibilities within the DPAC (Data Processing and Analysis Consortium) and within the French participation including relationship with CNES.
L’équipe de Gaia à l’Observatoire de la Côte d’Azur a été officiellement créée en 2005 pour officialiser la participation du Laboratoire Cassiopée dans la préparation de la mission de l’ESA, Gaia.
Le travail scientifique est un objectif majeur de l’équipe, mais également la prise de hautes responsabilités au sein du DPAC (Data Processing et de l’analyse Consortium) et dans la participation française y compris les relations avec le CNES.
